Placement Leadership

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Placement Leader to drive the Placement & Corporate Interface function. This is a leadership role that requires a strategic mindset, strong corporate network, and ability to drive results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Design and implement placement strategies that align with institutes vision and market trends.

Corporate Development:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with top-tier companies, startups, and public sector enterprises for placements, internships, and live projects.
  • Organize industry events, guest lectures, and other corporate interactions to increase engagement.

Placement Operations:

  • Oversee the entire placement process, from pre-placement talks to final offers, ensuring smooth and professional experience for both recruiters and students.

Student Enablement:

  • Work closely with faculty and training partners to prepare students to meet industry expectations. This includes resume building, interview prep, and group discussion practice.
  • Mentor students on career choices, profile building, and industry expectations.

Alumni Network:

  • Leverage the alumni network for placement support, mentorship, and networking opportunities.

Analytics & Reporting:

  • Track placement metrics, prepare detailed reports, and present insights to leadership and stakeholders.

Performance Targets:

  • Ensure placement of 360 students for final placements and 360 students for summer internships.
  • Increase median salary of placed batch compared to previous year.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Postgraduate degree (preferably an MBA or equivalent) from a reputed institution.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in corporate relations, placements, business development, or HR, ideally within a reputable academic institution or corporate setting.
  • Strong network across various industries.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A strategic thinker with result-oriented approach.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and leading high-performing teams.
