We are seeking a senior engineer to join our team in cloud infrastructure operations.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing and maintaining cloud-based systems, with a strong focus on ensuring high availability and performance.

This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues, as well as collaborating with other engineers to design and implement new features and services.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure using various technologies and platforms.
  • Develop and implement automated solutions to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of services.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud technologies, including Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Expertise in storage protocols (NFS, SMB, etc.) and storage management tools (EMC, NetApp, HPE, IBM, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies and technologies – Git, Azure DevOps (or equivalent) and CI / CD Pipelines is desirable.

In addition to your technical skills and qualifications, we are looking for someone who is able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Proficiency in storage technologies (SAN, NAS, DAS, etc.), understanding of inventory management and software assurance, alongside CMDB and/or other asset management tooling, an understanding of applying patches and updates to infrastructure to ensure security and functionality, utilising tools such as Ivanti or similar patch management systems are also required.
