Cloud Foundation Engineer

As a senior Cloud Foundation engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and scalability of our VMware Cloud infrastructure. This involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain high-availability vSphere, vSAN, and NSX environments.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implementation of vSphere, vSAN, and NSX configurations for optimal performance and resilience.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to drive problem management and root cause analysis.

Technical Requirements:

  • vSphere: Clusters, resource pools, DRS/HA, vMotion/Storage vMotion, templates, VM lifecycle.
  • vSAN: Storage policies, capacity planning, resync monitoring, performance troubleshooting.
  • NSX (NSXT): Segments/overlays, T0/T1 gateways, distributed firewall rules, NAT, basic load balancing concepts.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Expert-level experience with vSphere administration in production environments.
  • Hands-on experience with vSAN operations and vROps/Aria Operations.
  • Strong understanding of data center networking and storage basics.
  • Certifications (desired): VCPDCV, VCPNV, VCAP.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
