Job Summary

The Loss Prevention Manager is responsible for safeguarding property assets, employees, guests, and property through the daily management of the loss prevention department.


Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance of Compliance: Ensures adherence to laws, regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures by maintaining required logs, certifications, and documents.
  • Staff Training: Trains staff in emergency procedures and implements accident and fire prevention measures.
  • Risk Assessment: Conducts hazard and risk assessments at the property, including quarterly OSHA SAFETY audits, incident tracking, and hazard abatement processes.
  • Shutdown Procedures: Develops detailed shutdown procedures to secure all areas at designated times.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Complies with applicable laws and safety regulations.
  • Key Control: Implements proper key control guidelines in loss prevention and within the property.
  • CCTV Monitoring: Develops a monthly checklist for CCTV equipment, alarmed doors, and duress alarms to ensure functionality.
  • Inspection Tours: Incorporates inspection tours of recording systems into patrols.
  • Unusual Activity Response: Responds to all unusual activities that may impair guest and employee well-being.
  • Conflict Resolution: Handles complaints, settles disputes, and resolves grievances and conflicts through negotiation.
  • Action Plans: Implements action plans to monitor and control risk.
  • Monitoring Activities: Monitors all unusual activities around the property that may impact guest and employee well-being.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Analysis and Problem-Solving: Analyzes information, evaluates results, and chooses the best solution to solve problems.
  • Liaison Building: Develops liaisons with local law enforcement and emergency services.
  • Information Sharing: Informs and updates executives and peers on relevant information in a timely manner.
  • Communication: Provides information to supervisors and co-workers via telephone, written form, email, or in person.
