US Payroll Professional">Job Summary:
As a seasoned finance professional, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our payroll operations team in managing and administering timely, accurate, and efficient processing of our payroll operations. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining the payroll account ledgers, preparing reports, resolving payroll discrepancies, and performing routine internal audits.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately analyzing and reconciling payroll activity, identifying possible issues, making recommendations, and supporting conclusions;
- Working knowledge of ADP and/or Workday and ability to assist in maintaining vendor relationship;
- Building knowledge and skills to continuously develop customer service, teaming, and reporting skill sets;
- Analyzing data and creating data insights to drive decision making by leveraging various tools;
- Being organized with high attention to detail;
- Demonstrating ability to multi-task and work with a sense of urgency in a dynamic, fast-paced environment;
- Being a team player who is able to work in a virtual/global team;
- Interacting with other departments to resolve data discrepancies and establishing proper documentation.
Qualifications:
- Thorough knowledge and/or a proven record of success in payroll issue resolution;
- Understanding multi-state taxation, tax payments/deposits, and year-end reporting (W-2, W-2c, etc.) as well as federal and state regulations;
- Understanding daily payroll department operations and industry leading practices;
- Resourceful and creative problem solver - constructively working independently and with team members to find solutions;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines;
- Able to read situations and modify behavior to build quality relationships.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in SAP R3, Google Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Business Warehouse, Oracle, and other software applications;
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations;
- Ability to analyze complex data and create meaningful insights;
- Experience working in a team environment with strong collaboration and communication skills;
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines;
- Basic understanding of financial concepts and terminology.
