US Tax Associate Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and motivated US Tax Associate to join our team. As a hybrid role, you will require in-office attendance on specific days and remote work for the remainder of the week.

As a US Tax Associate, your primary responsibility will be to provide tax compliance and preparation services to clients. This includes preparing personal, corporate, and trust income tax returns along with other tax elections.

You will also be responsible for applying provisions of US tax treaty to cross-border tax transactions, assisting with sales tax filings and registrations, and collaborating closely with partners and senior staff to develop and implement effective strategies and client tax planning assignments.

  • Responsibilities:
    • Prepare personal, corporate, and trust income tax returns along with other tax elections.
    • Apply provisions of US tax treaty to cross-border tax transactions.
    • Assist with Sales tax filings and registrations.
    • Collaborate closely with partners and senior staff to develop and implement effective strategies and client tax planning assignments.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in preparing or reviewing 1040 personal income tax returns and 1120 corporate income tax returns. Public accounting experience is preferred. Experience working with accounting and tax software is an asset.
