Procurement and Quality Assurance Specialist

We seek a seasoned coffee professional to oversee procurement and quality assurance at the origin level. This field-intensive role demands strong technical expertise, relationship building skills, and a genuine passion for coffee.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate coffee beans before purchase by visiting farms and curing works across Karnataka.
  • Conduct quality checks from farm collection to curing and sorting to ensure consistency with export specifications.
  • Cup and evaluate samples to guarantee adherence to standards.
  • Prepare traceability and quality reports for each procured lot.
  • Coordinate procurement activities post contract finalization with suppliers.
  • Manage logistics from farm to curing works and up to export stage (sampling, weighment, warehousing).
  • Maintain strong relationships with farmers, suppliers, and curing units.
  • Ensure compliance with Coffee Board of India and FSSAI guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in coffee procurement, quality control, cupping, or farm-level operations.
  • Strong knowledge of green coffee beans, grading, curing processes, and cup quality analysis.
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation for traceability and compliance.
  • Familiarity with export-related logistics and processes is advantageous.
  • Fluency in Kannada is mandatory; basic English for reporting and supplier/buyer coordination.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within Karnataka's coffee-growing regions.
  • High integrity, reliability, and genuine passion for coffee are essential qualities.
