Job Title: Senior Mortgage Closing Specialist

Closers play a crucial role in the mortgage process, reviewing loan packages and creating accurate closing documents. In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless transactions by coordinating with title and settlement agents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Request fees from settlement agents and perform thorough fee analysis to optimize closing processes.
  • Prepare detailed closing disclosures and issue them to clients in a timely manner.
  • Monitor individual closing pipelines, workloads, and volume levels to maximize efficiency and balance.
  • Review Power of Attorneys (POA) and cash-to-close requirements for accuracy.
  • Create closing documents, monitor required waiting periods, and request preclosing audits before finalizing closings.
  • Deliver final closing documents and review them for accuracy before clearing funds.
  • Ensure effective communication with settlement agents and coordinate disbursements to move loans to post-closing status.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required, while a graduation degree is preferred for India operations, along with 18 months of experience in preparing initial and final closing documents.
  • Strong knowledge of mortgage concepts, practices, procedures, and Fannie Freddie guidelines is essential.
  • Working knowledge of loan origination systems and proficiency in MS Office tools are also necessary.
