Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Expert to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex databases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, upgrade, and migrate SQL Servers
  • Apply patches and service packs to ensure optimal performance
  • Configure high availability and disaster recovery solutions
  • Set up automated alerts for issue notifications
  • Work on incidents, change tickets, and problem tickets
  • Create maintenance plans for backups, database integrity checks, index rebuilds, and statistics updates
  • Troubleshoot locking issues, including deadlocks, blocking, and lock timeouts
  • Participate in bridge calls to resolve critical incidents
  • Gain hands-on experience with Always On and DB Mirroring
  • Execute schema changes and maintain a controlled development environment
  • Collaborate with application developers to test, configure, and optimize servers
  • Deploy database objects to integration, QA, UAT, and production environments
  • Provide daily support for high OLTP HA of SQL Server databases
  • Identify root causes of production problems and work with developers to resolve them
  • Perform performance tuning, including creating missing indexes
  • Be willing to work in 24X7 projects with rotating shifts
  • Experience with scripting using Perl and PowerShell is preferred
  • AWS/Azure experience is also desirable

  • Holding any of the following certifications: SQL Server or cloud-based solutions
