Job Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned expert in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) networking and database management to join our team as a freelancer.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled professional to leverage their expertise in OCI to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performance database systems.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with OCI services, including networking, compute, storage, and database management. They will also possess strong hands-on skills with OCI Console, CLI, and APIs, as well as proficiency in IaaS, Terraform, and Ansible.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement OCI networking, compute, storage, and database services to meet business requirements.
  • Migrate databases from on-premises to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure while ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
  • Develop, debug, troubleshoot, and optimize Oracle databases and associated applications to improve performance and security.
  • Monitor and enhance the performance, security, and availability of database systems to ensure optimal service delivery.
  • Implement robust backup and recovery strategies using OCI tools to minimize data loss and system downtime.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to provide support during implementation and testing phases.
  • Ensure compliance with governance and regulatory policies within OCI.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in OCI projects, including networking and database management.
  • Strong hands-on skills with OCI Console, CLI, and APIs; proficiency in IaaS, Terraform, and Ansible is desirable.
  • Advanced knowledge of Oracle Database 19c and Oracle E-Business Suite v12.2.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Middleware, WebLogic Suite, and Exadata Cloud Service.
  • Experience with cloud CI/CD tools (preferred) and the ability to work independently.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related area.
