Job Opportunity: Oracle Database Expert

This is a unique chance to work as an Oracle Database Engineer who will be responsible for performing routine operations, health checks, and basic troubleshooting for Oracle databases on Exadata platforms with GoldenGate replication.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Oracle DBA (12c/19c+) with tasks such as user management, schema administration, and privilege handling. Additionally, they should have a basic understanding of Exadata concepts (ASM, storage cells, smart scan) and Linux administration.

Key responsibilities include running daily health checks, monitoring Oracle GoldenGate processes, reviewing alerts, validating backups, and tracking performance metrics. The successful candidate will also be responsible for executing RMAN backup/restore activities, applying standard database patches and updates, and performing routine changes under control.

  • Perform regular health checks on Oracle environments and Exadata components.
  • Monitor Oracle GoldenGate processes, check replication lag, and perform restarts as per standard operating procedures.
  • Review alerts, validate backups, and track performance metrics.
  • Execute RMAN backup/restore activities and confirm successful completion.
  • Apply standard database patches and updates during maintenance windows.
  • Perform routine changes (user/role creation, privileges, quotas) under control.

Required Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience in Oracle DBA (12c/19c+).
  • Basic understanding of Exadata and Linux administration.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle GoldenGate fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with RMAN, Oracle Enterprise Manager/Cloud Control, and SQL*Plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
