Application Support Engineer

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to validate and understand their requirements.
  • Focus on providing excellent customer support and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Analyze complex technical issues and make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Contribute to agile planning activities and backlog management.
  • Identify and escalate application issues or risks to the team and suggest resolutions.
  • Continuously improve development processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and document support processes and solutions.
  • Adapt to new technologies and learn about evolving applications and systems.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, ensuring it is reviewed and approved by relevant stakeholders.
  • Participate in estimating user stories in story points and commit required efforts.
  • Ensure timely delivery of user stories and cover all acceptance criteria.
  • Understand content management systems (CMS) like EPiServer/Optimizely.
  • Resolve production incidents or defects as needed, identifying potential issues before they appear in the production environment, and contribute to root cause analysis.
  • Drive high performance and accountability for personal deliverables.
  • Actively participate in sprint activities and ceremonies, such as daily stand-up, Sprint planning, retrospectives, and refinements.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve sprint objectives.
  • Drive continual service improvements.
  • Share knowledge within the organization.
  • Be available on standby for emergencies.
Requirements and Qualifications:

You will require strong technical skills and experience in software development, preferably with Microsoft technologies. Additionally, excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.

Experience with DevOps methodologies and tools, such as Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes, is highly desirable. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a passion for learning and growth, will enable you to excel in this position.
