Position: Procurement Specialist

Experience: 5 to 7 years of procurement experience in EPC/Projects/Water Industry.

Education Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering.

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced procurement specialist to join our team. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and selecting vendors/suppliers for mechanical, electrical, and project-related materials. This includes steel, cement, paints, water treatment chemicals, pipes & fittings, valves, flow meters, hardware & factory consumables.

Responsibilities include preparing and processing purchase orders in line with project requirements and company policies, negotiating contracts, terms, and pricing to ensure cost-effective procurement, coordinating with project, design, and site teams to understand technical requirements, ensuring timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services to avoid project delays, maintaining vendor database, evaluating supplier performance, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Additionally, you will be responsible for following up with suppliers for order acknowledgment, dispatch details, and logistics tracking, preparing purchase reports, MIS, and maintaining proper documentation, supporting procurement planning, budgeting, and inventory control for ongoing and upcoming projects, and ensuring compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and safety standards.

Key Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes in EPC/Projects/Water Industry.
  • Good understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment/materials.
  • Vendor development and supplier relationship management.
  • Negotiation and cost optimization skills.
  • ERP/Procurement software knowledge preferred.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
