Job Title: Data Platform Strategist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced product leader with a strong background in data engineering to join our growing data platform team. This is a hybrid role that combines on-site and offshore work, supporting global data initiatives and collaborating closely with stakeholders.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping and managing data products across the enterprise using Snowflake as the core platform. Key Responsibilities include:

  • Product Strategy and Roadmap: Own and manage product strategy, backlog, and roadmap for data platform capabilities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical deliverables.
  • Data Pipeline Development: Partner with architects and developers to build scalable, secure, and reliable data pipelines.
  • Customer Advocacy: Act as the voice of the customer for offshore delivery, ensuring alignment with US-based business stakeholders.
  • Metrics and Adoption: Define and track key performance metrics for data platform products and drive adoption and usability of Snowflake-based solutions.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Data-Focused Product Management: 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager or Technical Product Owner in data-focused projects.
  • Data Architecture and Design: Strong understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and data pipeline design.
  • Cloud-Based Platforms: Experience working with cloud-based data platforms; Snowflake expertise is essential.
  • ETL/ELT Processes: Solid grasp of ETL/ELT processes, data governance, and quality standards.
  • Data Platform Launches: Prior experience in building and launching data platform capabilities or products.
  • Tools and Technologies: Familiarity with tools like dbt, Airflow, or Fivetran is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Data Engineering Background: Background in data engineering or analytics before moving into product roles.
  • Industry Exposure: Exposure to the restaurant or retail industry is a plus.
  • AWS Certification: Agile certification (CSPO, SAFe PO/PM) preferred.
