Title: Senior Snowflake Consultant

Position: Snowflake Data Architect

Location: Remote

Experience Required: 8–10 years (minimum 6 years in Snowflake & Matillion, BFSI domain expertise mandatory)

We are seeking a highly skilled Snowflake Expert with hands-on experience in Matillion ETL and proven expertise in the Banking, Financial Services domain. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines, data models, and analytics solutions on Snowflake, ensuring compliance, security, and performance to meet regulatory and business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and optimize Snowflake data warehouses, schemas, and data-sharing solutions.
  • Define and implement best practices around performance tuning, cost optimization, and data governance.
  • Create scalable data models supporting BFSI use cases (e.g., regulatory reporting, fraud detection, risk analytics).
  • Build, schedule, and monitor complex data pipelines using Matillion.
  • Optimize ELT workflows for large-scale BFSI data volumes (transactional, customer, risk, and compliance datasets).
  • Implement robust error handling, logging, and recovery mechanisms.
  • Understanding of Maia
  • Translate Bnaking data requirements into scalable Snowflake solutions.
  • Work with structured/unstructured data like core banking systems, payments, credit risk, AML/KYC, collections.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance in data management.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, data scientists, and reporting teams to deliver analytical datasets.
  • Collaborate with cloud engineers to ensure secure, compliant cloud deployments.
  • Support and mentor junior engineers on Snowflake and Matillion best practices.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience with over 6 years hands-on experience with Snowflake (data modeling, performance tuning, secure data sharing, resource monitors, streams & tasks).
  • Advanced Matillion ETL development (or similar cloud-native ETL tools).
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, DevOps integration for data workflows.
  • Deep understanding of financial data models (customer 360, payments, credit/debit, claims, risk, fraud).
  • Exposure to BFSI regulations & compliance in data handling and reporting.
  • Experience delivering analytics for fraud detection, credit risk scoring, AML/KYC.
  •  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to lead data discussions with both business and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Snowflake SnowPro Advanced Architect / Data Engineer certification.
  • Experience with Tableau/Power BI for reporting layer integration.
  • BFSI-specific project experience in core banking, digital payments, wealth management analytics
  • Familiarity with data security, masking, tokenization, and encryption in BFSI context.
