Job Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Data Platform Administrator to oversee the management of our Amazon Web Services (AWS) Redshift clusters and collaborate with various AWS services.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain scalable AWS cloud environments and applications for data organization, ensuring seamless performance and availability.
  • Install, configure, and maintain software, services, and applications by identifying system requirements and optimizing infrastructure.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective measures to ensure high uptime and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement data pipelines, leveraging expertise in SQL, database optimization, and data warehousing.
  • Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision making and business growth.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance platform capabilities and security.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in system administration, with a strong focus on AWS cloud platforms.
  • 4+ years of experience in database administration, with expertise in AWS Redshift, RDS, S3, EC2, NLB, VPC, and Snowflake.
  • 2+ years of experience in Snowflake administration.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies and version control systems.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocol suite, security architecture, and operating system hardening.
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience working with relational databases, query authoring, and performance tuning.
  • Ability to support and optimize data pipelines and datasets.
  • AWS solution architect certifications preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
