Strategic Electronics and Kitchen Category Manager

About the RoleAs a key member of the Amazon team, you will be responsible for managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and expanding product offerings. Your primary goal will be to maximize Amazon's profitability by optimizing selection and expansion opportunities.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop marketing programs, drive sales and margin improvements, and create exceptional customer experiences. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization are essential.
Key Responsibilities- Develop a thorough understanding of industry trends, events, and competitor developments.
- Maximize Amazon's business and financial profitability through strategic planning and execution.
- Advocate for and drive delivery of improvements that provide Amazon customers with an unparalleled shopping experience.
- Build strong relationships with vendors and brands, serving as the primary point of contact for vendor selection, onboarding, escalations, and negotiations.
- Cultivate a deep understanding of internal and external variables that impact your business, including forecasting, analyzing, and reporting on key metrics.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- 5+ years of experience with Excel, account management, project or program management, or buying.
- Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of professional or military experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL.
- Experience using data to inform business decisions and driving internal collaboration.
- Proven track record in business analysis and P&L management.
The estimated annual salary for this position is between $120,000 and $180,000, depending on location and experience.
