Technical Service Manager

The Technical Services Manager plays a vital role in bridging market needs with internal functions, ensuring customer satisfaction and driving business growth.

This position requires a strong understanding of polymer science, formulation expertise, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comprehensive Technical Support: Deliver comprehensive technical support to customers across various segments.
  • Formulation Development: Develop and adapt formulations for local market requirements, ensuring compliance with statutory and internal standards.
  • Training and Development: Conduct technical training for customers, distributors, and internal teams, enhancing their knowledge and skills.
  • Competitive Analysis: Perform competitive analysis and recommend strategies to stay ahead in the market.
  • Compliance and Quality: Ensure compliance with EHS and ISO requirements, maintaining lab operations efficiently.
  • Customer Support: Support customer complaint resolution and application troubleshooting, providing prompt and practical solutions.
  • Maintenance and Calibration: Maintain lab equipment, calibrate instruments, and document results, upholding high standards.
  • Field Trials and Visits: Participate in field trials and on-site customer visits as needed, gaining valuable insights and building relationships.
  • Industry Contributions: Contribute to technical papers, exhibitions, and industry seminars, showcasing expertise and staying updated on industry trends.
Requirements
  • Education: MSc or Bachelor of Engineering or Master's of Engineering in Chemistry preferred.
  • Experience: At least 8 years of formulation experience in Polymer dispersions/coatings with at least 2 years in a supervisory/people leadership role.
  • Skills: Sound understanding of polymer science and standard test methods, strong customer focus, and deep knowledge of core markets, competitors, and emulsion polymer technology.
