About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned software engineer with expertise in reliability engineering to join our Edge Engineering team.


Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for ensuring the overall health, performance, and capacity of one or more internet-facing services.
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of complex applications.
  • Assist in the rollout and ramp-up of new product features and technologies to facilitate rapid iteration and constant growth.
  • Develop tools to enhance our ability to rapidly deploy and effectively monitor custom applications in a large-scale Linux environment.
  • Function well in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years experience with administration and troubleshooting of Unix/Linux systems.
  • 5+ years experience coding in one or more programming languages like Rust, Go, Python, Perl, Ruby etc.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years in a UNIX-based large-scale web operations role.
  • Experience with .NET, C#, Android or iOS development.
  • Experience in building systems automation and server backends with Python.
  • Experience with writing scalable programs in Rust/Golang/Python.
  • Previous experience working with geographically distributed coworkers.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills (including listening, speaking, and writing) and ability to work well in a diverse team-focused environment.
  • Knowledge of data structures, relational and non-relational databases, networking, Linux internals, filesystems, web architecture, and related topics.
