Senior Engineering Manager Role

About Tech Accelerator

This leading hospitality organization boasts over 30 brands and nearly 8,900 properties in 141 countries.

The Senior Engineering Manager will oversee day-to-day application development projects and software engineering for the Reservations Platform group.

Directly managing software engineers and project managers, delivering on commitments to discipline partners and collaborating with architects on major organizational initiatives across multiple channels and platforms is key.

Promoting project quality and managing the application development team to ensure satisfaction with all technology teams and business partners by following standard application development tools and processes is essential.

A continuous improvement program will be implemented and managed to improve quality, consistency, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading Application Development Standards, Processes, and Tools
  • Fostering Consistency of Service Delivery Across Client Groups
  • Communicating Important Application Development Policy Changes
  • Implementing and Managing Continuous Improvement Program
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of application development leadership experience
  • In-depth knowledge of integration approaches and architectures
  • Deep understanding of cloud-native solutions, microservices architecture, and API orchestration architecture
  • Experience with technologies such as Java, NoSQL, Spring boot, Kafka, Docker, K8s, Cloud
  • Strong understanding of API platforms, back-end services, database, and networking components of full-stack infrastructure
  • Demonstrated success leading medium- to large-scale initiatives/transformations
