Internal Control Specialist

This role is focused on ensuring the timely implementation of internal control processes and corrective actions.

A key aspect of this position is to conduct independent on-site internal control reviews, identifying opportunities for process simplification, standardization, and automation to strengthen internal controls while reducing inefficiencies, inaccuracies, and overall workload.

  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement effective risk management strategies across all functional areas.
  • Facilitate coordination of mandatory statutory/corporate/Asia reporting requirements, including quarterly attestation and semi-annual balance sheet reviews.
  • Support location management teams during operational and financial audits by assisting in preparation, liaison with auditors, response development, and closure of deficiencies.

This role requires a Chartered Accountant with more than 8 years of experience in internal audit/accounting audit/internal control roles, preferably from a Big 4 environment.

  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, with ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with team members and executive stakeholders.
  • Highly adaptable, able to work well with ambiguity and maintain strong organizational skills, detail-oriented with strong time management skills.

Key qualifications include US GAAP and Indian Accounting Standards knowledge, proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience in QAD and Hyperion highly preferred.
