Internal Control Professional

As an Internal Control Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effectiveness of our internal controls over financial reporting.

  • Perform control testing as part of the Control Monitoring Program to guarantee that internal controls are designed and operating effectively.
  • Adequately apply organizational policies, procedures, accounting standards, and seek advice as necessary.
  • Review data integrity concepts to maintain and assure the completeness and accuracy of data.
  • Determine alternative solutions to problems, evaluate courses of action, and reach sound business decisions.
  • Document accurate, logical, and detailed workpapers that clearly describe the review objective, test procedures, and results.
  • Develops and understands the SOXHub Tool (AuditBoard), including how to appropriately use it for work responsibilities.
  • Promotes teamwork, develops cohesiveness, and adjusts to changing schedule priorities.

Qualifications & Technical Competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Management, or related field preferred.
  • Understanding of US GAAP, GAAS, Sarbanes-Oxley, COSO framework, and leading business practices.
  • 1 year relevant experience, either within the Big 4 Audit Firm or in a multi-national organization.
  • Prior experience within Risk & Compliance or Internal Control role, finance experience is preferred.
  • Microsoft Office skills, primarily Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint.

  • High level of customer focus and ability to maintain a positive attitude at all times.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Self-directed, positive, and ethical role model able to work with minimal supervision.
