Linux Kernel Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Linux Kernel Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of a team of junior and mid-career engineers working on Ubuntu Linux.

  • Develop and implement technical direction for kernel development, ensuring Ubuntu remains at the forefront of Linux distributions.
  • Collaborate with senior technical leadership on the Kernel Team to drive innovation and excellence in kernel development.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A strong understanding of C programming language and experience working in *nix-based operating system kernels and distributions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with colleagues and management.
  • Prior experience with software packaging formats, such as Debian or Snap, is highly regarded.
  • Able to travel internationally for company events.
