
Business Development Manager

This position entails a multifaceted role in infrastructure project tendering, encompassing identification, preparation, and submission of bids. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, negotiation prowess, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple tenders under tight deadlines.
Key qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Administration, along with 5-8 years of experience in tendering/contracts in the infrastructure/construction sector. Proficiency in government e-procurement portals, EPC, PPP, BOT tendering models, MS Excel, MS Project, and documentation skills are also essential.
The successful Tendering Specialist will be responsible for:
- Evaluating eligibility criteria, scope of work, and risks before participating in tenders.
- Preparing tender synopsis and presenting feasibility reports to management.
- Coordinating with estimation, design, finance, and legal teams for inputs.
- Compiling technical & financial bids as per client requirements.
- Ensuring timely submission of bids (online/offline) with complete documentation.
The key performance indicators (KPIs) for this role include:
- Tender Success Ratio (% bids won vs. submitted).
- Timely submission of bids without compliance errors.
- Accuracy of cost estimates and profitability of secured projects.
- Quality of market intelligence and competitor analysis reports.
This position requires a strong skillset, including negotiation, analytical thinking, and effective communication, with a focus on delivering high-quality results under pressure.
