Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented procurement specialist to manage the buying process, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure adequate stock levels while optimizing costs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage purchasing from requisition through to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective results.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions.
  • Monitor inventory levels and place orders as necessary to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Evaluate suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery time to achieve business objectives.
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand their purchasing needs and preferences.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data for future reference.
  • Stay updated on market trends and supplier developments to inform procurement decisions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 2-5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing roles.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with suppliers.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management and inventory control principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
