Job Title: Automotive Electrical Procurement Specialist

Job Description:

The role involves strategic procurement of automotive electrical and electronic commodities, including sourcing, vendor development, localisation, and cost optimisation. The incumbent will manage the procurement of commodities such as wiring harnesses, sensors & switches, relays, fuses, connectors, control units/ECUs, lighting systems, instrument clusters & other electronic sub-systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procure automotive electrical and electronic commodities from reliable suppliers to meet product requirements.
  • Develop and implement effective strategic sourcing strategies to reduce costs and improve quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure supplier alignment with technical requirements.
  • Monitor supplier performance for QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) parameters and drive improvements.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends, raw material cost fluctuations, and new technologies in automotive electronics.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Detailed knowledge of automotive electrical and electronic commodity procurement.
  • Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, vendor development, localisation, and cost management.
  • Strong negotiation, cost analysis, and supplier management skills.
  • Experience with APQP, PPAP, and supplier quality processes in the automotive industry.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and MS Office.
