Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance professional to lead our testing efforts, transitioning from manual to automated testing.

This role involves mentoring junior testers, designing test automation frameworks, and collaborating with development teams.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the transition from manual to automated testing using tools like Playwright or Cypress.
  • Mentor junior testers in test automation practices while maintaining strong manual testing skills.
  • Design and implement test automation frameworks to cover regression, smoke, and functional tests.
  • Create and maintain manual test cases, executing tests while transitioning suitable tests to automated scripts.
  • Conduct thorough testing across multiple browsers, devices, and environments to ensure product quality and functionality.
  • Collaborate with development teams to align automation efforts with CI/CD pipelines and integration requirements.
  • Develop and drive best practices in test automation, ensuring efficient, scalable, and reusable test scripts.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of manual testing experience, including strong knowledge of test planning, test case creation, and defect management.
  • Experience with test management tools like Jira, TestRail, or similar.
  • A strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Past experience transitioning from manual testing to test automation is preferred.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, or another scripting language for automation is a plus.
