  • The successful candidate will oversee the management of litigation and dispute resolution procedures for our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. ">
  2. Handling various legal matters, including those related to ROW compensation under Electricity and Telegraph Act, Land Acquisition, Arbitration, Constitutional matters, claims, contractual disputes, and criminal cases.">
  3. Representing or assisting in matters before Writ Courts, District Courts, DRT, Claim Tribunal, Consumer Courts, etc.">
  4. Drafting, vetting, and finalizing SLP, writ petitions, civil suits, criminal complaints, claim petitions, counter affidavits, replies, and replications.">
  5. Briefing senior and external legal counsels on matters, coordinating daily updates on pending matters with external counsel.">
  6. Preparing and monitoring Legal MIS to use it as a control mechanism for monitoring and controlling litigation/legal cases.">
  7. Managing and strategizing litigation according to the company's objectives and in case of contingencies appearing on behalf of the company.">
  8. Delivering advice on legal positions in case of litigation backed with the latest position on law and decisions from the courts.">
  9. Ensuring pragmatic, prompt, and cost-effective disposal/resolution of legal issues in the Company.">
  10. Ability to manage critical/high-stake litigation.">
  11. Drafting and negotiating contracts as per business requirements and ensuring that contracts comply with applicable laws, reviewing contract terms, and creating/updating standard templates.">
  12. Ensuring the company's compliance with all statutory and legal requirements by advising management of the Company's legal rights, risks, and liabilities.">
  13. Ability to perform thorough risk analysis before entering into various types of commercial & financial agreements and ability to draft legal agreements.">
  14. Good in-depth knowledge of law especially related to Electricity and Telegraph Act.">
  15. Thorough knowledge of procedural practice of courts and knowledge of related statutes.">

Requirements:

  • LLB degree.">
  • 8-12 years of work experience in litigation.">
  • Good experience in the Power sector.">
  • Knowledge of construction, EPC, and Infrastructure sectors.">
  • Candidate preferably from Infrastructure or with a law firm background.">
