Key Legal Advisor Role
The AVP Legal will be a member of the Legal leadership team, working closely with senior management to provide advice on legal issues and manage outside counsels. This role involves significant interaction with senior management and provides opportunities for strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Provide sound commercial legal advice on a range of issues to influence business decisions.
- Assist with litigation strategy and manage relationships with external counsel.
- Oversee the legal aspects of business operations and transactions.
- Support business teams with day-to-day legal issues.
Qualifications:
A law graduate from a reputable institution with work experience of around 15 years in multinational companies, preferably in power/energy sectors. A mix of in-house and law firm experience is desirable.
Desired Characteristics:
- Sound understanding of power/energy business and government tenders/projects.
- Ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal).
