About the Role

We are looking for a Software Engineering Lead to own the technical architecture of our app, from MVP through scale. This is a hands-on role where you will lead the design and development of the entire product.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Architecture & Build: Design and develop the technical architecture of the app.
  • Lead end-to-end development of the app using Node.js/TypeScript backend and React/Polaris frontend.
  • Design secure authentication flows using OAuth and Google API OAuth.
  • Build robust database models to store data, policies, and feed configs.
  • Integration: Use GraphQL APIs to create/update pages, inject structured data, and manage metafields/metaobjects.
  • Handle billing with Shopify Billing API.
  • Google Merchant Center Integration: Connect via Content API for Shopping and GMC API to pull diagnostics, flag policy issues, and manage feeds.
  • Implement supplemental feed management and sequential A/B testing workflows for titles and images.
  • Frontend Development: Build merchant-facing UI in Shopify Polaris (React) and ensure responsive, fast-loading app performance.
  • Scalability & Security: Ensure data privacy and compliance with terms.
Requirements:
  • Technical: 4+ years professional full-stack development experience, strong with Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, React/Next.js, and GraphQL.
  • Experience building apps and Google Merchant Center integration.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes a plus).

The ideal candidate will have a startup mentality, be comfortable working independently in a lean team, and have strong communication skills.
