As a Senior Application Specialist, you will be responsible for leading the effort to design, build, and configure applications. This involves collaborating with various teams to ensure that application development aligns with business objectives, overseeing project timelines, and facilitating communication among stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in application development, providing expertise and guidance to team members.
- Collaborate and manage a team to perform tasks effectively, utilizing strong leadership skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Make key decisions for the team, considering multiple perspectives and factors to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute to key decisions, fostering effective collaboration and open communication.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams, leveraging knowledge and experience to address complex challenges.
- Mentor junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge, promoting professional growth and development.
- Continuously assess and improve team processes to increase efficiency, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
In terms of professional and technical skills, the ideal candidate should have:
- Proficiency in Ansible on Microsoft Azure, with hands-on experience in deploying and managing applications.
- A strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and services, particularly within Microsoft Azure, including familiarity with virtualization and containerization.
- Experience with automation and orchestration tools to streamline application deployment, leveraging technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with configuration management and version control systems, including Git and SVN.
- The ability to troubleshoot and resolve application issues effectively, utilizing strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
To be considered for this role, candidates should have a minimum of 7.5 years of experience in Ansible on Microsoft Azure, a strong educational background with 15 years of full-time education, and excellent problem-solving skills.
