Assistant General Manager Job Description

The Assistant General Manager is a key leadership role that requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and close coordination with other departments to deliver an elevated guest experience through consistently high housekeeping standards.

The AGM will facilitate continuous on-the-job training in hygiene, grooming, and housekeeping techniques. They will also conduct regular audits to assess team performance and use the appraisal system to track staff development and training needs.

This role involves guiding and motivating the team to deliver high service standards with ownership and pride. It promotes a culture of internal customer care, collaboration, and professionalism. The AGM will lead staffing activities including recruitment, performance discussions, and recognition.

Ultimately, the Assistant General Manager will promote a positive, hands-on leadership style that inspires the team. They will serve as a role model of professionalism, accountability, and service excellence. The department's KPIs and goals must be met in alignment with management directives.
