Job Description

Purpose of the Position

The purpose of this position is to support the prospecting of new clients and management of the existing portfolio. Responsibilities include writing credit applications, setting up and monitoring limits, understanding credit profiles in depth, and other related tasks.

Scope and Dimension

This role covers CBAP India client coverage and portfolio support, both existing and new. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving CBAP CBIN targets and will require at least 5 years of experience in wholesale corporate banking or credit research work.

Job Responsibilities

  • Performing credit analysis and monitoring of existing clients.
  • Preparing credit applications and credit grading/self-assessment for assigned clients.
  • Generating detailed financial modeling using various models to provide comprehensive information and analysis.
  • Supporting corporate customers with their banking requirements, including product offerings such as fund-based and non-fund-based products, treasury, trade, and CMS.
  • Preparing presentations and reports on behalf of seniors for external parties such as customers and advisors.
  • Collecting necessary data and information to support marketing and execution of transactions.
  • Supporting Relationship Managers on new business opportunities through analysis and review of financial information.
  • Understanding and maintaining internal compliance requirements.
  • Additional items related to the above designated by the Department Head from time to time.
  • Assisting the RM Team with prospective new clients - both local and MNC.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Understanding financial concepts, economics, and industry trends.
  • Strong numerical and financial skills with the ability to interpret financial information and design and use financial models.
  • MBA from a reputed premier institution, Chartered Accountant, or CFA.
