Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Costing and Inventory Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the costing of products and optimizing inventory levels across products/locations.

About the Role

The Costing and Inventory Manager will play a key role in managing working capital optimally and ensuring that our products are competitively priced in the market place.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Implement and automate end-to-end costing and inventory valuation through SAP.
  2. Conceptualize and implement effective systems, policies, and procedures to ensure a robust cost and MIS reporting system.
  3. Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability.
  4. Prepare and analyze product-wise variance of cost of material and overheads of Budget vs Actual.
  5. Analyze and report on purchase price variance (PPV) vs. budget and previous year.
  6. Responsible for COGS reconciliation and variance analysis between standard and actual cost.
  7. Inventory analysis, monitoring, and controlling.
  8. Review inventory of RM, WIP, and FG, Days of inventory outstanding (DIO); Provide necessary insights about inventory in S&OP; Propose inventory-related provisions as per Accounting policy and recommend inventory liquidation and write-off plans as per company DOA.
  9. Partner with procurement team on pricing & vendor payment strategy.
  10. Prepare and finalize annual budget of costing, standard costing, and BOM in discussion with Plant Heads and present to the management.
  11. Conduct an analysis of monthly operating cost and prepare a monthly financial performance report.
  12. Responsible for the preparation, maintain adequate reports, and timely completion of annual cost audit.
