Revenue Accounting Specialist

The primary objective of this role is to oversee and manage end-to-end revenue accounting processes, encompassing preparation and maintenance of revenue schedules, journal entries, and reconciliations for month-end and quarter-end close. The successful candidate will also be responsible for supporting external audits and internal controls by providing documentation and insights into revenue processes.

This position requires a strong understanding of ASC 606 / IFRS 15 and the ability to apply it in complex contract scenarios. Experience in revenue recognition, preferably in a SaaS, technology, or services environment, is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage revenue accounting processes ensuring accurate and timely recognition in compliance with ASC 606 / IFRS 15.
  • Review customer contracts to determine appropriate revenue treatment.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Legal, and FP&A teams to assess deal structures and ensure alignment with revenue recognition policies.
  • Analyze deferred revenue, billing schedules, and revenue forecasts to support financial reporting and audit readiness.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in revenue accounting or revenue recognition preferably in a SaaS, technology, or services environment.
  • CPA or CA qualification.
  • Strong understanding of ASC 606 / IFRS 15 and practical application in complex contract scenarios.
