Cloud Computing Engineer

The Cloud Computing Engineer will be responsible for analyzing the current technology landscape and understanding data integration frameworks. This includes conducting impact assessments for new requirements, developing Spark jobs using Scala, enhancing existing Spark jobs, and performance tuning of Spark jobs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance Spark jobs for new project requirements
  • Performance tune Spark jobs, conduct stress testing, and optimize cost-performance balance
  • Design databases, create data pipelines, and implement data loading strategies
  • Work with Project Managers to deliver successful projects and provide estimation, scoping, and scheduling assistance
  • Manage build phases, quality assure code, and resolve difficult design and development issues

Technical Requirements:

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in cloud computing, particularly with AWS services. They must have experience with S3, EC2, EMR, Serverless, Athena, AWS Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, and Cloud Databases like Aurora, Singlestore, RedShift, and Snowflake.

Must-Have Skills:

  • 7-9 years of IT experience
  • 5+ years of AWS-related project experience
  • Associate Level and Professional Level AWS Certification
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS services, Big Data technologies, programming languages, operating systems, and orchestration tools

Qualifications:

The candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and have a minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud-related projects.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
