Civil Engineer Job Description

As a junior civil engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing on-site construction activities and collaborating with contractors and architects to resolve minor design and technical details.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage all on-site construction activities by coordinating with various stakeholders.
  • Address minor design and technical issues through effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship while managing local contractors.
  • Keep accurate records of materials, labor, and progress on site to facilitate project monitoring.
  • Provide regular updates and progress reports to the principal architect and client using charts and reports.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed and manage site logistics efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture is essential.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, designs, and specifications effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills for resolving on-site issues proactively.
  • Effective time management skills to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects.
  • Familiarity with CAD software for designing and drafting.
