Student Guidance Specialist

Overview:

The Student Guidance Specialist will work closely with students and their families to help them navigate the complexities of higher education. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about empowering students to make informed decisions about their academic and career paths.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with students to identify their strengths, interests, and goals, and develop personalized plans to achieve their objectives.
  • Research and recommend suitable universities and programs based on a student's preferences, academic record, and financial situation.
  • Provide guidance on the application process, including essay writing, interview preparation, and campus visits.
  • Maintain accurate records of student interactions, progress, and outcomes.
  • Develop and deliver presentations, workshops, and webinars to students, parents, and educators on topics related to higher education and career development.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in student counseling or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to stay up-to-date on the latest trends and developments in higher education.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meeting deadlines and adapting to changing priorities.
