Our Role

As a Senior Technical Support Engineer, you will work closely with customers to address their complex post-sales concerns. You will provide technical support, configurations, and best practices to customers, ensuring issues are recorded, tracked, resolved, and follow-ups are completed in a timely manner.

You will also participate in technical discussions with multi-functional teams, creating an environment of transparency that ultimately leads to better products, working environments, and better cybersecurity.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical assistance to clients and partners
  • Configuring, troubleshooting, and providing guidelines to customers
  • Managing support cases to ensure issues are documented, monitored, resolved, and follow-ups are completed promptly
  • Carrying out fault isolation and root cause analysis for technical issues
  • Publishing technical support bulletins and other documentation in the Knowledge Base
  • Reviewing documentation for training materials, marketing collateral, manuals, troubleshooting guides, etc.
  • Traveling to customer sites in critical situations to expedite resolution as required
  • Offering 24/7 on-call support as needed
Essential Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a technical support environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Fluency in Japanese and business-level English
  • Expertise in Network Protocols and Technologies, such as TCP/IP, DNS, IP routing, HTTP/HTTPS, Remote Access VPN solutions, IPSEC, PKI & SSL, Authentication Protocols (LDAP, RADIUS, etc.)
  • A strong ability to independently debug broad, complex, and unique networks with mixed media and protocols
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment
  • Attention to details, fast learning, and excellent communication skills - Ability to communicate technical information in a simplified, easy-to-understand manner
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional environment involving coordination with different teams such as Sales/Pre-Sales/Product Management/Engineering
Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with Firewall Central Management Systems, multi-factor authentication security systems, virtualization, Windows and MAC OS, and Cisco, Checkpoint, Juniper, and Fortinet products is desirable.
