Senior Machine Learning Expert

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Machine Learning expert to spearhead the development and implementation of large language models (LLMs) for cybersecurity applications.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of machine learning and cybersecurity threats, including threat intelligence, vulnerabilities, exploits, and configuration analysis.

  • Fine-tune and domain adapt open-source LLMs using frameworks like vLLM, HuggingFace, DeepSpeed, and PEFT techniques.
  • Develop data pipelines for ingesting, cleaning, and structuring cybersecurity data.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity analysts to build taxonomy and structured knowledge representations.
  • Design and execute evaluation frameworks for cybersecurity tasks.
  • Own the lifecycle of model development, from training to deployment.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to ML engineers and researchers.
  • Stay current with advances in LLM architectures and cybersecurity datasets.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience in machine learning, with at least 2 years focused on LLM training or fine-tuning.
  • Strong experience with vLLM, HuggingFace Transformers, LoRA/QLoRA, and distributed training techniques.
  • Proven experience working with cybersecurity data, including MITRE ATT&CK, CVE/NVD databases, YARA rules, Snort/Suricata rules, STIX/TAXII, or malware datasets.
  • Proficiency in Python, ML libraries (PyTorch, Transformers), and MLOps practices.
  • Familiarity with prompt engineering, RAG, and vector stores like FAISS or Weaviate.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and collaborate across interdisciplinary teams.
