Job Title: Mainframe System Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Mainframe System Analyst to join our team.

As a Mainframe System Analyst, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive system support for z/OS, DB2, and CICS environments, ensuring optimal performance and availability.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide comprehensive system support for z/OS, DB2, and CICS environments, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
  2. Work closely with client mainframe administrators and cross-functional support teams to ensure seamless operations and issue resolution.
  3. Analyze system logs, diagnose issues, and implement effective solutions to address performance bottlenecks or failures.
  4. Perform installations and upgrades of mainframe products, ensuring compatibility and stability across environments.
  5. Generate detailed reports on database and storage performance, analyze capacity trends, and develop actionable improvement plans.
  6. Monitor and optimize CICS performance by troubleshooting issues and enhancing transaction throughput to meet business needs.
  7. Generate and distribute daily, monthly, and ad-hoc reports to identify and address capacity and performance issues.
  8. Track and analyze system performance metrics, including MSU, database performance, and CICS utilization trends.
  9. Demonstrate flexibility in learning and adapting to new tools and technologies to support evolving business demands.
  10. Exhibit strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of technical challenges.
  11. Experience with automated scheduling tools like Zeke and Zena.
