Refrigeration Maintenance Specialist

This role requires a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead refrigeration maintenance operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in refrigeration systems, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage technicians and workflows effectively.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily maintenance operations for refrigerated containers at our depot.
  • Ensure the depot is fully equipped with tools, refrigerants, spares, and technician readiness.
  • Manage workflow for corrective jobs, preventive maintenance, and PTIs (Pre-Trip Inspections).
  • Maintain depot safety and compliance standards.

Troubleshooting and Technical Support:

  • Assess complaints, define TAT, and determine spare requirements.
  • Troubleshoot complex refrigeration technical issues and support technicians with guidance.
  • Approve warranty vs. paid service classifications where ambiguous.

Technician Management:

  • Assign and supervise technicians for refrigeration jobs and PTIs.
  • Monitor checklist adherence, job quality, and SLA compliance.
  • Organize quarterly technical training and upskilling workshops.

Spare Parts and Inventory Control:

  • Approve Purchase Orders for refrigeration spare parts and consumables.
  • Verify GRNs with Inventory Coordinator and monitor spare returns.

Client and Business Coordination:

  • Review completed job orders and prepare service reports for clients.
  • Confirm job closure and issue closure communications.

Performance and Audit Oversight:

  • Conduct monthly audits of service records for compliance and quality.
  • Share monthly and quarterly service performance reports with senior management.

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
  • 7–10 years' experience in refrigeration container service & maintenance, with at least 3–4 years in a leadership/managerial role.
  • Deep technical expertise in refrigeration systems.
  • Proven track record in depot or workshop management for refrigeration containers.

Performance Metrics:

  • SLA adherence and refrigeration downtime reduction.
  • Preventive maintenance and PTI completion rate.
