Job Title: Spare Parts Supervisor – Container Maintenance

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Spare Parts Supervisor to manage spare parts inventory, optimize stock levels, and oversee distribution to technicians.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain optimal stock levels of reefer container spare parts, including compressors, controllers, sensors, electrical spares, and consumables.
  • Ensure systematic arrangement of spare parts in the yard/warehouse, following safety, compliance, and easy-access standards.
  • Oversee distribution of spare parts to technicians with complete documentation and accountability for usage.
  • Liaise with vendors for timely procurement of spare parts, negotiate for best pricing, and ensure quality compliance.
  • Monitor inventory costs, reduce wastage/pilferage, and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising availability.
  • Maintain detailed logs of inbound/outbound stock, returned/damaged items, and generate weekly/monthly usage and cost reports.
  • Conduct periodic stock checks, cycle counts, and audits to maintain 100% accuracy in records.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience: 4–6 years of inventory/warehouse management experience, preferably in logistics, cold chain, or container maintenance.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of reefer container spare parts and related equipment preferred.
  • Vendor Management: Proven ability to handle supplier negotiations and build reliable vendor relationships.
  • Cost Optimisation: Strong track record in reducing costs while maintaining quality and availability.
  • Systems & Tools: Hands-on experience with ERP/inventory management systems.
  • Organisational Skills: Excellent attention to detail and ability to independently manage stock.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and reporting skills to coordinate with technicians, procurement, and management.
