Corporate Counsel - Legal Expert

The position of Corporate Counsel is a critical role within our organization's Legal Department, requiring a seasoned lawyer with diverse legal skill sets.

We are seeking an experienced professional with 8-14 years' background in a legal & compliance role, preferably in multinational corporations. Your expertise will play a vital part in driving regulatory compliance and providing expert advice on data protection, cyber security, and immigration laws.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring risk and compliance issues, implementing mitigation/remediation solutions, and providing guidance on policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Advising on data protection and privacy legislations, including incident management and record retention management.
  • Supporting cyber security compliance and risk management, including advising on disclosure requirements, interacting with external vendors, and managing incidents.
  • Advising on compliance with immigration laws in EU, APAC, and MEA, reviewing policy/guidance documents, and reporting/notification requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of applicable regulations, including Data Privacy, Cyber Security, Immigration, and Mobility.
  • Independent project management, interaction with stakeholders, and review/audit exercises.
  • Ability to solve moderately complex issues, maintain confidentiality, and communicate effectively.
