Job Title: Senior Legal Professional

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide authoritative legal advice to drive strategic decision-making and mitigate risks.
  • Assist with litigation strategy and manage external counsel relationships effectively.
  • Oversee all aspects of company legal affairs, including corporate deals and contracts.
  • Collaborate with the Business Acquisition team in competitive bids and review bid documents carefully.
  • Review and draft responses to indemnity notices and other issues related to corporate funding and asset transactions.
  • Support the policy advocacy team in engaging with authorities and reviewing proposed standard bidding documents or amendments.
  • Formulate processes, SOPs, and strategy documents to streamline operations and minimize risk exposure.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Law graduate from a reputable institution with substantial experience in multinational companies, preferably in power/infrastructure/energy sectors.
Desirable Traits:
  • Sound commercial understanding of the power/energy business and government tenders/projects.
  • A team player with excellent interpersonal skills to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
