Senior Biostatistician Role Summary

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Senior Biostatistician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the statistical design of research projects, supervising biostatisticians and SAS programmers, and providing expert consultation on statistical methodology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise biostatisticians, associate biostatisticians, and SAS programmers in directing work on clinical research studies.
  • Provide expert consultation to projects across the company on statistical methodology and solve complex statistical problems.
  • Review proposed statistical designs for research studies to ensure sound methodologies are adopted.
  • Develop study analysis plans and statistical programs to meet project requirements.
  • Stay current with statistical and medical literature to ensure accurate and up-to-date knowledge is applied in research projects.
  • Ensure scientific integrity of research projects and accuracy of reported results.
  • Perform sample size calculations and lead statistical design of research projects.
  • Review protocols and case report forms to maintain standards and quality.
  • Develop study assignment allocation schemas and documentation.
  • Led development of methods and results sections of clinical study reports and scientific publications.
  • Represent clients at regulatory meetings and provide expertise in methodological advances.
  • Participate in Standard Operating Procedures development and updating.

Qualifications:

  • Masters or PhD in biostatistics, statistics, epidemiology, or related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience with a Masters or 1 year with a PhD in a relevant field.
  • Experience with methodological statistical research, including publication and/or presentation of work.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with statistical methods and applications in clinical research.
  • Strong programming skills in SAS and/or R.
  • Expertise in state-of-the-art data manipulation and statistical methodology.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organization skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently or in a team environment.
  • Effective communication of complex statistical concepts.
