Infrastructure Design Engineer Role

Job Overview

As a seasoned infrastructure design engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our projects. Your expertise in designing and analyzing wet utilities systems will be invaluable in helping us deliver world-class solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive designs for potable water, sewer, stormwater, and highway drainage systems using cutting-edge engineering formulas and techniques.
  • Create general arrangements, layouts, plans, and profiles that meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Conduct research and prepare design options and documents that showcase your creative problem-solving skills.
  • Prepare detailed engineering computations, quantity takeoffs, specifications, and designs that ensure optimal project outcomes.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and CAD designers working on the same project.
  • Collaborate with clients through meetings and presentations to effectively communicate project details and progress.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or Master's degree in Water Resources Engineering/Environmental/Hydraulics Engineering discipline.
  • 10-15 years of relevant work experience in infrastructure engineering design, particularly in water, wastewater, and storm drainage networks, with increasing responsibility.
  • Previous experience in developing models using Sewer Gems, Water Gems, HEC-HMS, HEC RAS, InfoWorks ICM, WS Pro, Civil 3D, Navisworks, etc.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary consultancy environment.
  • Strong report writing and presentation skills, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • International work experience, especially in Africa and the Middle East, is highly valued.
