Seeking an experienced Senior Coastal Infrastructure Specialist to lead the design, planning, and construction of breakwater systems and port expansion projects in Trivandrum, Kerala.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in coastal engineering, with expertise in hydrodynamics, coastal erosion, and sediment transport. Key responsibilities include:

  • Breakwater Design and Construction: Develop and implement comprehensive designs for rubblemound, vertical, and hybrid breakwaters to ensure protection of port infrastructure.
  • Project Management: Oversee port expansion projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budget, and quality standards.
  • Coastal and Marine Engineering: Apply knowledge of coastal processes and hydrodynamics to optimize breakwater and shoreline protection systems.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Work closely with government bodies, environmental agencies, contractors, and consultants to ensure smooth project execution and compliance with regulatory standards.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in breakwater construction, port development, or coastal engineering projects.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing breakwater systems, including knowledge of materials, hydrodynamics, and coastal processes.
  • Ability to manage large teams and collaborate across departments to meet project goals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in challenging coastal environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • B.E. (Civil Engineering) or equivalent.
  • Coastal Engineering Certification (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Experience working in the Kerala region or on Indian port development projects.
