Job Title: Culinary Operations Manager

About the Role:

The primary objective of this role is to maintain an efficient kitchen operation by continuously analyzing quality and cost of food production.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain set standards and monitor time management to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Provide ongoing training to subordinates to meet corporate objectives.
  • Evaluate and improve safe, quality food products to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement systems, procedures, rules, objectives, and timescales to drive success.
  • Work within a technical area of expertise to improve service quality and product offerings.
  • Promote a positive and helpful manner in all interactions.
  • Mentor, counsel, coach, and support subordinates to boost morale and personal esteem.
  • Foster high crew morale within the administration department, ensuring fairness and unbiased treatment.
  • Ensure adherence to menus, recipes, methods, and operational specifics provided by the organization.
  • Achieve set goals in a non-assertive and efficient manner.
  • Conduct daily food tastings to maintain quality standards.
  • Correct discrepancies (quality, taste, appearance) immediately.
  • Monitor electronic food requisitions according to forecasted figures.
  • Maintain smooth service, presentation, and final plating.
  • Comply with Public Health regulations at all times.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Advanced culinary skills, leadership, and experience.
  • Minimum 8 years in the profession (Quality Hotels and Restaurants).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a management role in a luxury hospitality establishment or upscale cruise line.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Effective communication with senior management.
  • Able to lead and make decisions.
  • Good administrative skills.
  • Experienced in coaching subordinates.
  • Cost and quality conscious.
  • Flexible work schedule.
  • Ability to work with international team members.
  • Perform duties under pressure.
Preferred Skills:
  • Cruise Ship Experience / 5 Star Hotel.
  • Fluency in additional languages.
