Job Title: Procurement Specialist

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled procurement specialist to oversee end-to-end purchasing of electrical equipment, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to technical specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Select, evaluate, and finalize suppliers for electrical products (cables, switchgears, panels, etc.).
  • Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.
  • Review Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) and Bill of Quantities (BOQs) to ensure purchases align with project requirements.
  • Manage vendor lists, develop new supply chain partnerships, and conduct quality assurance audits.
  • Coordinate with project/logistics teams for dispatches, tracking, and resolving delays or discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records (quotations, POs, payments, approvals).
  • Purchase items within budget and in compliance with company policies.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 3-4 years of procurement experience in an electrical trading company.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and email communication.
  • Strong negotiation, supplier management, analytical skills, and attention to detail.

  • Timeliness of deliveries against PO deadlines.
  • Cost savings achieved through negotiations.
  • Supplier performance ratings and reliability.
  • Compliance with procurement cycle times and records.
